Over Laura
“Yoga is the journey of the self, through the self, to the self.” Bhagavad Gita.
After Laura took her first yoga class, tired and stiff from the corporate 9 to 5, she was hooked on the way she felt -more grounded, happier, stronger and healthier. She knew right away that she wanted to share her experience with as many people as possible and enrolled in an E-RYT 200 hour teacher training certified by Yoga Alliance U.S. She also completed a 50 hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training with Ram Jain.
A journalism major in college and former oriental art publicist, Laura’s inquisitive nature gave way to a strong desire for an alternative lifestyle and self-inquiry which turned into a lifelong passion. As a true believer that yoga can benefit people’s lives, she is grateful to share this passion with others. Her aim is to live a yogic lifestyle, flow and accept whatever life brings, rather than fighting against it and the circumstances that we live in.

I do things differently almost every time I teach as a way to keep my students on their toes and in the present moment. I mix the order of the class around depending on what I am working toward that day and teach my students to deal with discomfort working always towards integrating the deep inner working of the practice.
