Over Chiharu
I am experienced in solo and chamber music as well as orchestra in Japan and the Netherlands. For solo, I joined national level competition in Japan in my teenage. For orchestra, I used to play in VU-orkest in Amsterdam. Currently I am playing the violin at both voluntary and commissioned university events besides pursuing my master's degree in a different field at EUR.
As a young adult who started playing the violin at the age of 5 and has spent most of her life with it, I am pretty aware of how painful the practice can be for a kid and frustrating the progress might not go for a busy grown up. On the other hand, thanks to the solid basics I acquired from the Japanese teaching style, now I can freely express the music of my choice. Therefore, in my lessons I will provide the students everything I know so they can be well-equipped with the tools to explore music in the future!
