Over Abris

Hello, Ábris here! I'm a music student, graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2025 as a jazz student, then started my masters at Codarts in Rotterdam as a world musician.
I have studied Western classical music, Hungarian folk music, jazz, blues, improvisative music, and currently researching Turkish folk music.
As different traditions and cultures are my biggest interest, or passion, I am also keen on passing down the knowledge I got from the elders. Talk about Western classical music, which is, in our environment, is the most reliable genre to acquire the important techniques to be able to play the violin with ease later on. Jazz is a complex, still changing musical tradition from a different continent, which has different aspects to it, such as the art of improvisation on stable harmonies. When we look at Hungarian folk music, it is all about the expression of emotions and the tiny details of ornamentations.
So if any of these, or all of these interest you, I would love to hear from you!

Over deze les

Hello, Ábris here! I'm a music student, graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in 2025 as a jazz student, then started my masters at Codarts in Rotterdam as a world musician.
I am giving violin lessons for beginners, people with little experience, or experienced players who would like to learn about improvisation or traditional (Hungarian) folk music.
We can look at the basics of violin techniques, basics of jazz; or improvsation, composing in the moment, arranging, and letting the imagination free.
All ages are welcome!
