My Teaching Approach:
I use the inverted classroom method as the foundation of my tutoring. I believe this approach is ideal for one-on-one sessions because it shifts the focus from passive listening to active problem-solving. Before each lesson, the student briefly engages with new material (or reviews past topics) independently, allowing us to use our session time efficiently. This way, I can quickly identify knowledge gaps and address them immediately, turning potential stumbling blocks into solid understanding. Nonetheless, if the topic is hard to grasp explaining it is not a problem.
Typical Lesson Structure:
We start with a short review of any homework or self-study completed since the last session. The core of the lesson is spent working through problems together. I guide the student through exercises that target the exact topics where they need the most support. When a difficult concept arises, we pause to break it down visually and verbally until it clicks.
NOTE that I may assign a small amount of homework to reinforce what we covered during the lesson.

1. Being a student gives me both subject expertise and a current understanding of the student experience.
2. Excellent English and reasonaby good Dutch allow me to explain complex concepts clearly in either language
3. I am patient, structured, and heavily focused on building confidence, not just memorization.
