I am an Honours Mathematics student at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam with a strong academic and teaching background. I have more than five years of tutoring experience and currently work as a Teaching Assistant for several university mathematics courses, where I help students understand both computational and proof-based mathematics.
Mathematics has been an important part of my life from an early age. I participated in mathematics olympiads for many years and later became an olympiad coach, including coaching students who competed internationally. These experiences taught me not only how to solve difficult problems, but also how to explain mathematical ideas from different perspectives.
As a teacher, I am patient, structured and approachable. I particularly enjoy taking a topic that initially seems complicated and breaking it down until the underlying idea becomes clear. I encourage students to think independently rather than simply memorise procedures or copy solutions.
I have experience working with secondary-school, IB and university students, so I am comfortable adapting my teaching style to different levels and goals. Whether your aim is to pass an exam, improve your grades or develop a deeper understanding of mathematics, I will tailor the lessons accordingly.

My lessons are adapted to the student's level, goals and preferred way of learning. I focus on understanding rather than memorising formulas: we first develop the intuition behind a concept, then work through the mathematics carefully, and finally apply it to exercises and exam-style problems.
A typical lesson starts by identifying the topics or problems that are causing difficulty. I then explain the relevant ideas step by step, often using examples before moving to more rigorous mathematical reasoning. Students are encouraged to solve problems themselves while I provide hints and guidance when necessary.
Lessons can focus on learning new material, weekly coursework, difficult exercises, proof techniques or intensive exam preparation.
