Over Laura

*I AM FULLY VACCINATED*

My name is Laura. I am 21 years old and currently studying Computer Science at the VU. My parents are both German but I was partially raised in Barcelona, Spain. In a sense, there is no one place I call "home" but rather, I can find comfort in environments where I am surrounded by people I love. In the past, I have tutored Math, English, Physics to students between ages 8 to 15. I started tutoring when I was 16 years old and have continued to search for tutoring opportunities ever since. I have always enjoyed explaining concepts to my friends and classmates so tutoring always seemed like a logical choice to me. I am located in Amsterdam Oost and would of course prefer closer locations. For locations further away, I don't mind taking public transport or riding my bike depending 0n the location. I am also very open to being a nanny or tutoring subjects not listed on my profile, such as Chemistry, Physics, German, Spanish, but I would first have to see the level needed from the individual student.

Over deze les

I find teaching other students an empowering experience. I am patient with students and love to use creative ways to help students understand the course content better.

One thing that is important to me is that students are able to explain their abstract thought process before applying concepts to solve an exercise. I also find it important to encourage students to "teach me" the content back as it helps build confidence and stability in their knowledge.
