Over Savita
I have an experience of teaching mathematics to students of grade VI - IX for more than 8 years now. I have been associated with renowned schools of Delhi, India as i have been born & brought up there. In my last school which was DPS Dwarka, New Delhi, i taught mathematics to students of different abilities from grade VI-VIII for 6 years & 10 months. I left that job as me & my family were moving to Amsterdam for Husband's work.

In my opinion, there can be different methods for teaching different topics in mathematics. I try & relate the topic to real life situations so that the student knows where & how to apply a particular concept. Many a times Visual learning helps, for example, for teaching different 3-D shapes, you need to show 3-D models /smart class techniques to have a better understanding. Sometimes you need to present a problem at the start of a class and let the students try to figure it out. you need to start with an example/situation & then help students derive a particular formula.
