Over Bernardo
I'm a 27-year-old violinist from Portugal. I started playing the violin at the age of 6 in Lisbon, where I completed my bachelor's at the Academy of Advanced Orchestral Studies. At the age of 22 I moved to The Netherlands to do a Master degree in Classical Violin at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
One of my passions as a violinist is the Orchestra, which led me to be a member of the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands for 3 years, a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Norway and Münich Youth Orchestra for 1 year. I also work regularly with Dutch and Belgium Orchestras, such as Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Philzuid, Phion, Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, Het Ballet Orkest and Ciconia The Hague String Orchestra.

During my lessons, I like to focus on implementing a good technique, where the student also feels comfortable and natural with the violin, this is key to playing the instrument. When the technique is settled, the journey of learning a piece is much more enjoyable and rewarding.
For beginners, we will learn some theory together with learning the violin, so you are able then to read music, this means reading notes and rhythm before the rest.
I will also adapt my teaching to the student's goals and progress.
I speak Portuguese, English and a bit of Spanish.
