Hi everybody! My name is Martina and I come originally from Italy! I am now based in Amsterdam and I graduated from the “Royal Conservatoire of The Hague” where I specialized in jazz singing with a minor in jazz guitar. My passion for music started when my mum gifted me a guitar at the age of six and from that moment I understood that there was a strong feeling that was connecting myself to music. I started playing classical guitar and later on I discovered a passion about singing too. It was such a pleasure to spend time singing and playing the guitar, learning new songs and challenging myself in getting better. At that time I loved to play pop tunes from very known artists such as Ed Sheeran, kT Tunstall, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Ingrid Michaelson and many more. I’ve always kept my ears open to other musical genres as well, listening to all kind of music and it is in that way that I really fell in love with jazz music too. Its rhythms, its melodies and its harmonic structures where capturing me; so I started to learn jazz tunes both with singing and with the guitar, getting inspired by beautiful voices such the ones from Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday, Nat King Cole, Mel Torme’ and many more. Eventually I got to a point where I felt my biggest wish was to improve and make a bigger step in order to become a professional singer. From this desire, I decided to start my studies at the Conservatory of The Hague which gave me the tools to use the vocal technique as a support for my artistic expression. During the studies I didn’t become only a better singer, but a better musician. I had theory lessons, ear training courses, rhythm classes and so on. After this intense but beautiful journey, I feel I want to share my knowledge and help other singers to find their way of expressing (in a healthy way) through singing. LET'S SING! :)

Course I: Vocal lessons
The vocal lessons are designed on the student’s needs, meaning that during the lessons we will work on whatever is there to improve in order to let you get the most from your singing voice!
During the lessons we will learn exercises to warm up and cool down the voice (so a pre- and a post- workout); we will work on vocal technique, doing specific exercises based on specific needs; we will work on the repertoire, choosing appropriate songs according to your taste and to what suits your voice the best. But, most of all, we are going to have FUN while learning and improving!
For the first trial lesson it would be ideal to bring one song that you know well and that you like to sing and preferably you sang already. You don’t have any song yet? no problem at all, we will start with nice exercises and we can choose together a song to work on!
Course II: Guitar lessons
Have you ever wanted to improve your guitar skills with the goal of accompanying your voice while singing? During this lessons we can work together to find the best way to accompany yourself, using the guitar as a support for your beautiful voice!
You will learn nice voicings, left and right hand technique and how to groove with nice rhythmical patterns.

Perfect! Immediately had a good vibe with Martina. She understood my questions, had new exercises to experiment with and showed me new insights about using my voice just in the first class. On top of that, her class is a full hour which is really nice. Looking forward to continue!

- Mustafa is a very motivated student who is already composing his own songs with passion, so creativity is definitely one of his strength! He has a beautiful deep and warm voice which has a very good potential.
