Yishay is a phenomenal guitarist who makes learning music theory feel important and attainable. He's very inspiring and has so much to give, if you stick with him you'll go far in your growth as a guitarist.

I've been having lessons with Yishay since lockdown 2020 and it's been one of the best decision I've made for my guitar playing and knowledge of the instrument.

He is incredibly thorough, knows how to break everything down so it's easy to understand and he has such knowledge of music theory and playing, it's insane.

If you want to level up your playing or learn jazz if you're mainly into rock, I can't recommend Yishay enough!

I have taken many guitar lessons with Yishay (all remotely). And he brought so much to our sessions... Not only he is an encyclopedia of knowledge and musical theory, we also covered important artists/albums to study (I was just getting into jazz at the time). he's proficient in so many genres, and it was truly eye opening for me.
He is also a very accomplished touring musician, with so much experience to share, in studios and on stage.

I have been Yishay's guitar student for 5 years now, all of them virtually. His great knowledge of the guitar and of music theory makes him an absolute amazing professor. His communications skills and teaching experience help immensely in the learning process. He is very dedicated with me as a student, and is always committed to make me improve as a musician, guitar player and performer. All of his lessons are well prepared and organized, and have contributed in the achievement of the goals I set when we first started. I definitely can see the progress I have made since I started lessons with Yishay. Yishay takes time to understand each student’s level of proficiency. He related each scale to a different “solar system” with its own unique properties. He made learning music theory that much more fun and memorable. Yishay was also honest with me, and explained that I needed to be diligent in my own practice. Of course, Yishay did not just tell me to “figure it out on my own.” He supplied me with YouTube links to backing tracks, as well as a a website that randomly generated chords to I could practice targeting new chord tones in my improvisation. Lastly, he taught me a rendition of the jazz standard, All of Me. It is one of the first things I go to each time I pick up the guitar. He is an excellent instructor overall.

Sinds ik les krijg van hem, begrijp ik muziek in zijn geheel beter dan eerst en zijn mijn live performances veel vooruit gegaan.

Ik raad een ieder die wilt groeien op gitaar aan om les te nemen bij Yishay, omdat hij lesgeeft met passie voor muziek en hij je oprecht vooruit wilt helpen. Hij heeft ervaring genoeg en is buiten een goede leraar, een steengoeie gitarist.
