Over Niccolò
Niccolò is an Italian saxophonist, composer, bandleader, and educator based in Amsterdam. He began playing clarinet at the age of nine and switched to saxophone at eleven, discovering his love for jazz through Billie Holiday’s album Me Myself and I.
Niccolò studied classical saxophone at the Conservatory of Music “F.A. Bonporti” in Trento (Italy), where he earned a Master’s degree in 2013. He then pursued jazz studies, graduating with a Master’s in Jazz Music in 2015. Throughout his studies, he worked with renowned musicians like Donny McCaslin, Maria Schneider, and Paolo Fresu, and performed with the “Bonporti Big Band Jazz Orchestra.”
In 2017, he moved to Amsterdam to attend the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where he graduated in 2019. As a performer, he plays in various projects as both a leader and sideman.
Niccolò has been teaching for over 10 years, including six years in Amsterdam. He teaches saxophone, music theory, composition, and piano for beginners. His piano lessons focus on building musicality, ear training, and harmonic knowledge in a relaxed, practical way.

Whether you're starting from scratch or want to use the piano to better understand music, my lessons will guide you step by step in a relaxed and engaging way.
