Over Nik

I’ve been making music for as long as I can remember, learning piano and singing from a young age. Over the years, I completed extensive musical training, including a Bachelor in Music in London, and I now work as a recording and performing artist. In my teaching, I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned—whether that’s helping someone play their favorite songs, explore improvisation, accompany their singing, or develop their own musical ideas. Guiding students as they grow more confident, creative, and expressive at the piano is something that brings me a lot of joy.

I teach in English or German.

Over deze les

I’m here to unlock your musical potential with piano lessons tailored to your level, goals, and creative spark. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced player, we’ll work out a learning concept that fits you best.

I teach piano in a fun, intuitive, and rewarding way, helping you grow at your own pace while enjoying every step. Together, we can learn your favorite songs, explore your own individual style, and even craft unique arrangements just for you.

If you love to sing, I’ll show you how to accompany yourself confidently on the piano. If you’re curious about creativity, we’ll dive into improvisation, composition, and developing your musical ideas—from the first spark all the way to full arrangements and recorded tracks.

My approach is flexible, intuitive, and supportive. I can guide you through everything from the basics—music theory, reading, chords—to songwriting, arranging, and even recording or producing your own music.

My goal is simple: help you feel creative, confident, and unlimited in your expression at the piano.

Perfect! The lessons with Nik are great! We figured out what to focus on together at the beginning of the lessons, which is improving my skills while working on my own music, and it has been great fun to do this together. Nik is very skilled and know a lot about music and different styles, he comes up with great ideas and helps me to really improve the music I wrote. He is a patient teacher who explains everything in a simple a clear way and can adjust do different levels of complexity. He explains the theory behind what we are doing, which helps to get a better understanding of the piano, but not in a forged way. The fact that we can record the songs as well is such a nice addition and gives me an extra motivation to work on the songs.

It's always fun to teach Judith. She's motivated and enthusiastic about playing. The lessons always flow naturally and we get to work out her songs and piano arrangements. She felt a bit stuck with the chords and possibilities to play exciting chords or bass lines, and i am able to show her how to change it up.
We’ve also started recording the songs, so by the end she’ll have a collection of beautifully arranged and professionally recorded versions of the songs she’s learned.

I had a really good lesson with Nik.

He helped me finally start playing a song I’ve been wanting to learn for a long time, and the way he explained the chords and put together an arrangement made things a lot more sense.

The vibe was super easygoing and chill, so it felt comfortable to just try things without pressure.

I really liked his way of teaching and how relaxed it all felt. Looking forward to the next one!

I was intimidated at first because I didn't know how to approach the piano cause it always made me frustrated quickly, but Nik showed me it's actually much easier than I thougt. Now I focus on the right things, understand more about the theory, and am able to slowly learn the songs and arrangements I like to play. I'm very happy with it.
