Hello! My name is Lucie, I am from France, and I will soon be studying Physiotherapy at Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen.
Being fluent in English and currently learning Dutch, I understand the challenges that come with learning a new language. This experience helps me understand the importance of patience, encouragement and creating a comfortable environment where students are not afraid of making mistakes.
During the past year, I helped a child with homework regularly. This experience made me realise how much I enjoy sharing knowledge and helping someone progress. It taught me to be patient, organised and able to adapt my explanations depending on the student's needs.
As a native French speaker, I can help students improve their pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and communication skills while discovering French culture and everyday expressions.

My lessons are focused on communication, confidence and practical use of French. I believe that learning a language is not only about memorising grammar rules, but also about feeling comfortable using it in real-life situations.
For younger students, my lessons are mainly based on speaking and discovering French through everyday conversations: introducing themselves, talking about their hobbies, describing their daily life or practising common situations. My goal is to help them build confidence and enjoy learning French.
For students who need French for school, I can also provide more structured lessons focused on grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and writing skills. I adapt each lesson to the student's level, goals and learning style.
A typical lesson starts with a short review of previous topics and a discussion about the objectives of the session. We then practise through conversations, exercises, examples and interactive activities. I encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes and actively participate, because I believe that practice and curiosity are essential for progress.
My lessons are suitable for:
Children and teenagers who want to learn French.
Students who need help with French for school.
Beginners who want to build confidence speaking French.
Anyone interested in learning French with a native speaker.
