After getting around 40% on my first HL test, I was genuinely thinking about dropping the subject. I started having lessons with Hubert and they were somehow both really fun (mostly us complaining about IB) and actually useful. He understands the maths really deeply, so he could always explain WHY something works instead of just giving me a formula. He also knew the markschemes ridiculously well and gave me loads of small exam tricks that helped a lot.

I was really struggling with Math SL and was barely getting 4s. After just three lessons with Hubert, I got a 6 on my next test and eventually finished IB with a 6, which I honestly never expected. What I liked most was that if I didn’t understand something, he could explain it in three different ways until one finally clicked. Things I never understood in class suddenly made sense.
