Hey prospective tutee! I'm Johan and I love teaching. More than that I love to help people. It would be great if I could help you too. An important aspect of learning, however, is finding the right style of teaching that is right for you. So let me give you an idea of who I am.
I lived in both Korea and Australia and I'd like to think that I embody the positives of both education systems. The strong English language and creativity/flexibility of Australia and the very useful quantitative and memorisation skills of Korea. Both are definitely needed in balance to be a successful student and that is something I can be of help in.
Moreover, I've been teaching formally and informally during a large part of my educational career and have even worked as a teacher for nearly 2 years and longer than that for tutoring. My main philosophy that informs my teaching is that I try to give you the tools and let you come to the correct conclusion on your own, It is the one and only way to truly learn a concept or idea in-depth.
My final message is this: I'm ready to take my time and emotional investment into my student(s) and take responsibility for my teaching as long as you are ready and have the mindset and drive needed to learn! This is going to be a team effort between you and I and we will succeed!

A well prepared tutor that makes an effort to understand what the tutee needs! Prior to the tutor session he asked about the kind of expectation and studying style that i would feel comfortable with, which i believe a sign of a very understanding person and good quality tutor.
