About me – Lode
I’m Lode: calm, friendly, and results-oriented. I love turning difficult topics into clear, simple steps and celebrating visible progress together. My analytical study background helps me work in a structured, goal-driven way. Previous roles taught me to stay composed under pressure, be precise, and communicate clearly—skills I bring to every lesson. I believe in small, achievable goals, plenty of practice, and direct, encouraging feedback. Students value my clear explanations, steady pace, and the confidence I help them build. I adapt materials to each learning style and level, focusing on durable skills, self-confidence, and genuine enjoyment of learning.

About my lessons – Lode
I teach with clear goals, a calm pace, and lots of practice. We start with a short intake to set targets together. My method blends explicit instruction, scaffolding, rich examples, and active practice using retrieval, spaced repetition, and formative feedback.
A typical lesson: quick check-in and goal setting, brief warm-up (vocabulary/grammar), concise explanation with a step-by-step model, guided practice, independent application, and immediate feedback. We close with a mini-review and a focused homework plan so you know exactly how to study.
My strengths are simplifying complex topics, bringing structure and confidence, and giving motivating, precise feedback. I provide exam-oriented training across reading, writing, listening, and speaking, and I differentiate materials when needed (e.g., dyslexia or test anxiety).
For whom: secondary students (VWO/HAVO/MBO), NT2 learners (A2–C1), resit candidates, and professionals who want sharper Dutch for study or work. Lessons can take place at my spacious workspace on the Keizersgracht or online. Goal: visible progress, durable skills, and genuine enjoyment of the language.
