Over Jeff
Hey, I'm Jeff! And just like you, I didn’t grow up speaking Dutch. I had to learn it the same way you are now - from scratch, as an adult.
Before that, I taught myself German as a kid in the US, then went on to get an MA in foreign language education and teach at the university level. Later, I moved to Amsterdam and went through the whole process again with Dutch.
So I’ve seen both sides of it: how languages are taught, and how they’re actually learned. I know exactly where things break down. And more importantly, what actually works! (Hint - the little things go a long way!)
You don’t need to start from zero. You already have more Dutch than you think. We’ll prove that quickly, and then build from there so you can use it across more situations without overthinking it!

If I had to guess - you probably don’t need more Dutch vocabulary. You need to feel like you can use the Dutch you already know.
Most learners get stuck because they try to learn the language in pieces, but aren't exposed to how it really works in the wild. That’s what we fix!
We'll work with real Dutch, not textbook Dutch, and focus on learning how to speak more naturally, hesitate less, and stop translating in your head.
Once that clicks, your existing vocabulary suddenly becomes usable, and everything else builds from there!
