Over Lusine
I spent the last couple of years working at the unique educational organization in Amsterdam – Laureate Online Education, the mission of which is to facilitate access to higher education for students from developing countries. As an admissions specialist I was responsible for dealing with enrolment, selection and admissions procedures. This involved reviewing and assessing application sent from students all over the world and making the final admissions decision on behalf of the University of Liverpool Online (UoL). Together with the Global Development and team I was working on a strategy of bringing new partnerships and increasing student numbers in the conflict zones and remote areas. I was then promoted to an Academic Advisor role in the same organization.
With regards to my previous professional activities, I dealt with international admissions, student support and tutoring as an Admissions Coordinator at Higher School of Economics; I gained experience in research, reporting and analysis at Council of Europe and Russian International Affaires Council; and I had a chance work in customer service, B2B marketing and data management at Storegear start-up in Rotterdam. In addition, I was successfully training students for Cambridge examinations for more than 5 years and I am now an official freelance examiner and representative of the British Council in the Netherlands.
