Over Schumé
My name is Schumé Heyns. I love reading and writing in the English language. I recently moved to the Netherlands. I grew up in South Africa and taught business English to adults and English as a foreign language to my younger students.
I love seeing people's faces light up once they improve at something. Especially when students aren't afraid to communicate in their desired language anymore.
Other hobbies I love are playing video games, rock climbing, running and painting mini figurines!

My lessons are catered to each individual student. We focus on both strengths and weaknesses. Whether it's speaking, listening, reading, writing, vocabulary etc. you can expect a full lesson which includes all of these aspects.
The topics are customizable, and you can choose which topic you want to delve into and further explore. I especially love teaching children, but I am able to teach business English too and assist with any enquiries. I love gamification and believe it's a wonderful way to learn (and it's fun too!).
In our classes there is no judgement.
We start our lesson off with a casual chat, then start with things you may have found challenging with regards to the language (maybe a conversation you had, or something you didn't understand well in the previous lesson). After a brief discussion and explanation, we can decide to focus on that problem or continue with further topics. At the end, we can talk, play a language game or I can assist with homework.
