I am a native English speaker from New York City who has been teaching English to kids for 4 years now. My love of teaching languages comes from having to juggle so many at a young age, being a proficient Italian speaker, and a conversational Spanish speaker. My teaching approach is student-centered, interactive, and communicative. I focus on helping learners use English confidently in real-life situations rather than memorising rules in isolation. I combine:
Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) to encourage speaking and active use of English Task-based learning, where students complete practical tasks (role-plays, discussions, short writing tasks)
Guided grammar instruction, introduced through context and examples
Vocabulary building linked to the student's goals (academic, professional, or conversational)
Continuous feedback to improve accuracy, fluency, and confidence.
