Over Laura
Hi! I’m Laura, a Colombian who is building her life in Amsterdam!
I’m 26 years old, I was born and raised in Colombia, and I’m a native Spanish speaker. I’m a pretty easygoing person, and I’d love to have conversations with you so you can learn Spanish in a relaxed and natural way!
Learning a language is a process, and I don’t like putting pressure on people or making them feel like they don’t know anything. Spanish is such a broad language, and there are so many different cultures, accents and slangs within the Spanish-speaking world!
I think Colombian Spanish is really beautiful, but I would try to teach you Spanish in the clearest and most neutral way possible. At the same time, I think it’s really interesting to learn about the differences between the Spanish spoken in different countries.
I love cultures, so I think it would be really fun to learn together about different accents, food, traditions, expressions and customs from different Spanish-speaking countries.
We can talk about pretty much anything you’re interested in — travel, music, food, movies, everyday life, university, work, or just whatever comes to mind. The most important thing for me is that you feel comfortable speaking, asking questions and making mistakes. This is a process, and we’ll take it at your own pace!
I’m not here to make you feel like you’re in a classroom. I want our conversations to feel natural, while helping you improve your Spanish along the way.
For me, it would be a pleasure to meet you and help you learn Spanish!

I offer Spanish conversation classes in English or Spanish, depending on your level. We’ll start with a relaxed conversation so I can understand where you are and what you’d like to improve.
I like my classes to feel natural and comfortable, rather than like a traditional classroom. We can talk about everyday life, travel, food, culture, music, or whatever interests you. My goal is for you to feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes, and improving along the way.
