This summer, I am graduating in Liberal Arts & Sciences: Global Challenges from a Culture, History, and Society perspective. I love talking about culture, art, museums, and nature.
I have experience as a teacher assistant at an elementary school. Moreover, I have done theater for 3 years and use theater techniques to practice your English through improvising. I believe in place-based learning and use excursions so you can practice your English in real life settings.
My education is to prepare you for using English in real life, not for just passing English exams.

Learning a language is about emerging yourself in it and daring to use the language with others.
We will have an introductory session to determine your goals, level, and interests. Based on that I will make a lesson plan.
My classes start with a conversation in English about anything. Depending on your goal we can expand your vocabulary through reading, watching, or listening to material that interests you. I believe play is an important part of learning and I use games/theater in my lessons if you would be interested in that.
My lessons strongly focus on improving listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills by giving you confidence and joy in using English. While grammatica is important for that, I do not offer classes just focussed on explaining grammatical topics or just checking your vocabulary. Of course, I will address grammatical issues and explain things that we encounter in our readings etc. but my classes are grounded in literature, movies, podcasts, news articles, etc. They are not simply grammar lessons.
If possible, I would like to visit interesting locations such a museums, nature, events, etc. once in a while to practice improvising and responding to your environment in English.
