Over Beatriz
Hi! I’m Beatriz, a university student at Leiden University, currently studying in The Hague. I grew up in Spain and have always been surrounded by different languages, cultures and ways of communicating. I attended an international school, which gave me the opportunity to meet people from many different backgrounds and made languages a natural part of my everyday life.
Spanish is my native language, and I also speak English and French at C2 level. Learning and using several languages myself has taught me that everyone experiences language learning differently. Sometimes you understand the grammar but feel nervous speaking, sometimes you know the vocabulary but cannot find the words, and sometimes you simply need someone to explain something in a different way.
I started giving Spanish lessons because I genuinely enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping people make progress. I find it really rewarding to see someone understand something that was difficult for them before, become more confident and eventually use the language independently.
Being away from Spain has also made me appreciate my own language and culture even more. Teaching Spanish is a way for me to stay connected to my culture while sharing it with people from different backgrounds. Spanish is such a rich language, with so many expressions, traditions and cultural differences, and learning it can be a great way to discover and understand the many countries and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
I believe that learning a language is about much more than grammar and vocabulary. It is about communicating, connecting with people and discovering new ways of seeing the world. That is one of the things I love most about languages, and one of the reasons I enjoy sharing Spanish with others.
For me, teaching is a chance to share something I love, connect with people from different backgrounds and help them feel more confident in Spanish. Seeing someone become more comfortable with the language and discover a new culture along the way is what makes teaching so rewarding for me.

My lessons are all about making Spanish feel useful, enjoyable and adapted to you. Every lesson is tailored to your level, goals, interests and way of learning, so you can learn at your own pace.
Learning a new language can sometimes feel challenging, but the right environment can make a huge difference. That’s why these lessons are a judgement-free space where you can ask questions, make mistakes, try again and build your confidence without feeling embarrassed.
Whether you need help with schoolwork and homework, want to improve your speaking, reading, listening, grammar or understanding, are preparing for an official exam, or simply want to learn Spanish from scratch, the lessons can be adapted to what you actually need. We can follow your school programme, work towards a specific exam or simply focus on becoming more confident in everyday Spanish.
There are no boring one-size-fits-all lessons here. The goal is to find what works best for you and make every lesson useful and enjoyable.
And remember: there is no age limit to learning a language. It is never too late to start, and mistakes are nothing to be ashamed of — they are part of learning!
