Over Nanda
In all my years of teaching at several high schools I overall enjoyed guiding my students through their learning proces and paying attention to their personal goals and interests. I see grammar and vocabulary as building stones to be able to express yourself in Spanish, both orally as written, and pay a lot of attention to the active use of the language.
I have a big interest in Latin America, culture, music, dance, and human rights and I tend to use this in the material offered in my lessons. Of course I'm always open to adapt the topics to the interests of my students.
I also have a degree in translation and an in the proces of becoming a journalist, so as an addition to teaching, I also have the possibility to help with written assignments in both Dutch and Spanish.

I highly value the communicative aspect of a language and focus on offering interactive lessons in which we combine the theory and the practical use of it. I enjoy conversation classes a lot in which I like to offer a variety of topics and materials ( articles, podcasts, music, movies, tasks prepared by students, news topics, etc.) that are the basis for the conversation and the expansion of vocabulary and grammatical structures.
I have a masters degree in teaching and one in translation. For the last nine years I worked at several high schools offering classes of Spanish, ethics and tutoring. I thaught all levels, from beginning students to preparing them for their exams in both the Dutch as the European school system.
My focus always is building a good relationship with my students to create a good learning climate in which I pay a lot of attention to personal needs and interests.
Besides this I have good writing skills in both Dutch and Spanish and I'm open to tutoring on this topic.
My lessons are open for all levels and ages.
