Over Ivan
My name is Ivan, and I am a qualified mathematics teacher with 17 years of experience teaching in Serbia, the UAE and the Netherlands. I currently teach at an international school in The Hague, with experience in IB Mathematics AA at both Standard and Higher Level. My teaching qualification is recognised by DUO in the Netherlands.
I enjoy helping students make sense of ideas that initially seem difficult. Seeing a student gain confidence and solve a problem independently is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
I bring a patient, supportive approach to my lessons and encourage students to ask questions freely. My goal is to help them develop lasting mathematical understanding alongside the skills they need for their IB examinations.

I offer personalised lessons for IB Mathematics AA SL and HL students, whether you need help understanding a topic, keeping up with your course or preparing for exams.
Each 60-minute lesson starts with your questions and a review of any difficulties. We then work through clear explanations, guided examples and IB exam-style questions, followed by independent practice and feedback.
I focus on understanding the reasoning behind each method, presenting mathematical solutions clearly and using graphing calculators effectively. Lessons move at your pace, with a patient, structured approach that builds confidence and problem-solving skills.
All lessons are taught in English, online or in person in The Hague.
