Over Luna
Born in Cuba, Luna Pantoja began playing cello at the age of 5 years old. Shortly after at the age of 8 years old she started in the Music Conservatory.
Already in such a young age Luna leads a promising carrier as a soloist and chamber musician. She has performed in numerous festivals like the International Leo Brouwer Festival, International Classical Music Festival Habana Clásica, Stift Music Festival, Young Euro Classic, Rheingau Musik Festival and Lucerne Festival.
She has taken part of masterclasses with artists and professors like Dmitry Ferschtman, Pieter Wispelwey, Gary Hoffman, Martin Menking, Leonard Elschenbroich, Maja
Bogdanovic, Olivier Thiery, Anthony Hewitt, Robert Kulek, Busch Trio, etc.
As a chamber music and orchestra musician enthusiast she has participated in programs and projects like the Cuban-European Youth Academy under the guidance of Balthasar Neumann Ensemble in Cuba. Mozart y Mambo Tour 2023 with Sarah Willis and the Havana Lyceum Orchestra in Europe. Villars Music Academy 2024 in Switzerland receiving lessons and sharing stage with musicians from the Berliner Philharmoniker. Together with the violinist Francisco Pinto and the pianist Pedro Teixeira they form the piano trio "Vondel Trio".
In september of 2022 she was awarded the 2nd prize at the Irvine Conservatory International Music Competition in Los Angeles, USA. In May of 2023 she won 1st prize in the Cayo Competition for Young Cellists, in which she was awarded a cello donated by the american teacher Tom Rosenberg.
Between January and June 2023 she took part of the pre-college course in cello at Conservatoire Populaire de Musique de Genève in Switzerland, under the guidance of François Abeille.
Luna was awarded the Holland Scholarship for foreign students by the Government of The Netherlands and is currently studying her bachelor program at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam in the class of Ella van Poucke.

I use a variety of teaching techniques and methods to make learning music both fun and effective. I tailor my approach to each student's needs, ensuring that they understand the basics while also encouraging creativity. Whether we focus on playing an instrument, understanding music theory, or improving performance skills, my goal is to help students enjoy music while building their confidence and abilities.
I can teach in English, Spanish, Italian and French. The lessons can be 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or 1 hour long, depending on what works best for the student. I teach students of all levels, from beginners to more advanced musicians. I welcome students of all ages, whether they are young children just starting out, teenagers looking to improve their skills, or adults wanting to learn or return to music.
I play cello since I am 5 years old and study piano and music theory since I am 9 years old. I have extensive experience teaching music in Cuba and Switzerland and have received course of Methodology. I've taught mainly children and teenagers, but I also have experience working with adults. My background allows me to connect with students of all ages and help them progress in their musical journey.
