Over Margarida
I am a harpist with extensive experience in performing (solo and with orchestra) and teaching.
I am currently finishing my Master programme in the Royal Conservatoire in Den Haag. During my Bachelor, I was teaching in two Conservatoires back in Portugal, as well as giving private lessons, to students between ages 6 to 18 years old.
I consider my practice as interdisciplinary, so you can expect to have several sources of inspiration during our lessons.
I speak fluently Portuguese and English.

I have extensive experience teaching in a conservatory setting, and I understand its advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, with the freedom to create a personalized program for each student, I strive to strike a balance between rigor and ease.
A typical lesson would consist of warm-up exercises to prepare the body and mind for playing, technical exercises to produce the best sound with minimal effort, and working on the piece we’re currently studying. If the student enjoys it, we can include a period of improvisation, whether the goal is to develop musical intuition, expressiveness, or creativity.
I offer 60 and 45 minutes lessons, for all levels. Whether you're just starting out, want to get back into classes, or need help with your practise.
