Over MONICA
My name is Monica and I love teaching and learning! I have been teaching Italian, from beginners to advanced levels, online and in-person, for more than 20 years.
I was born and raised in Italy, in a beautiful village in the countryside. In 2000 I left my job in Italy and decided to pursue my real passion, languages. I moved to Madrid, Spain, where I spent 20 years of my life teaching Italian. as a foreign language. Since 2022 I have been living in the Netherlands, for a new adventure.
I am very fond of foreign languages, and I speak Spanish (C2), English, French and a bit of German. I have recently started studying Dutch. I always try my best to transmit the same passion to my students.
My hobbies are: photography, nature, gastronomy, art, literature, history, cinema, learning foreign languages and travels.

The course will be student-centred and personalized. I always tailor each lesson to my students'; individual needs and personal interests and I use my experience to develop engaging lesson plans, aiming at awaking students' interest and motivation. Lessons are always different. The course will include multimedia learning tools and authentic materials such as films or newspaper articles, which enable students to come into contact with relevant cultural aspects related to each language.
