Over Delia
Hi, my name is Delia, I’m 18 years old and I’m currently studying International and European Law at the University of Groningen. I’m originally from Spain but grew up in England, so I have been speaking both languages fluently throughout my life.
I have over three years of experience tutoring, as well as experience working as a camp monitor, so I really enjoy working with students of different ages and personalities.
I always try to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. While it is obviously important the academic aspect of tutoring I believe that building confidence is an important part of learning a language, alongside developing strong grammar, vocabulary and communication skills.
I use English academically every day and can also support students with more advanced English, schoolwork and writing as alongside being a Native English speaker, I also have the C2 Cambridge Certificate.
I am fluent in both English and Spanish, so lessons can be taught in either language or a combination of both. I don’t speak Dutch.
I’m looking forward to helping students improve their English, whether they need support with school, want to become more confident speaking, or simply want to practise and develop their skills!

My lessons are adapted to each student’s age, level, and goals. With over three years of tutoring experience, I have worked with children and teenagers aged 4–14 and have learned how important it is to make lessons both productive and enjoyable.
I combine structured learning, including textbooks, exercises and schoolwork, with more practical and interactive activities. Depending on the student’s needs, lessons can include conversation, reading, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, writing, homework or preparation for school assessments. I also use real-life situations and conversation to help students become more comfortable and confident using English naturally.
For younger children, I like to make lessons playful and engaging, using activities that keep them interested while developing their English skills. With older kids, I can focus more on schoolwork, academic English, conversation, writing and building confidence in their abilities.
Lessons can be taught in English, Spanish, or a combination of both when helpful, as I do not speak Dutch.
