Over Yuan
I hold an MA degree in Philosophy from Norway. Before that, I obtained a BA degree in English from China. This summer, I live in Amsterdam.
When I was a junior high school student, I used to tutor my classmates during class breaks. I also had experience marking Chinese exam answers for my teachers. You can expect an excellent level of language mastery of Mandarin from me, both in oral and written form.
The feedback from the students I have taught has been very positive.

When it comes to teaching methods, I adapt to my students' interests, learning style and goals. I avoid rote learning whenever possible and facilitate natural acquisition.
In the trial lesson, we will get to know each other. Then I will test your language levels in a short conversation and propose a customised teaching plan.
I'm mostly familiar with teaching children with the YCT book series. I also use other course materials, such as the HSK book series, if you need to take language tests. I can proofread your writing and give suggestions to improve your conversational skills.
All I expect from my students is their passion to learn.
