Over Theo

Hello! My name is Theo, and I was born and raised in the United States. As a native English speaker with an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, I understand both everyday conversational English and the formal, academic style needed for school, university, or professional life.

My lessons are friendly, engaging, and completely adapted to your needs — whether you’re a beginner wanting to build confidence, a student preparing for exams, or a professional looking to refine your business English. I combine real-life conversation practice with clear explanations of grammar, pronunciation tips, and useful vocabulary so you can see progress quickly.

I believe learning is most effective when you feel comfortable, encouraged, and supported. That’s why I focus on creating a positive and patient environment where mistakes are simply part of the learning journey.

If you’re ready to improve your English with someone who will listen to your goals and help you achieve them, I’d be happy to work with you. Let’s start your learning journey together!

Over deze les

As a native English speaker born and raised in the United States, I bring authentic pronunciation, natural expressions, and cultural insights to every lesson. My International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma has given me strong communication skills and an understanding of academic English, which I incorporate into my teaching.
I focus on interactive, student-centered learning. I adapt my lessons to each student’s goals, whether that’s improving conversation skills, mastering grammar, or preparing for school or work. My approach combines:

-Gentle correction and clear explanations to improve accuracy

-Engaging activities like role-plays, reading short texts, and discussion prompts

Typical Lesson Flow:

-Warm-up – short conversation to get comfortable and review previous material

-Lesson focus – grammar, vocabulary, or pronunciation based on the student’s needs

-Practice – speaking exercises, listening activities, or short writing tasks

-Feedback – constructive corrections with tips for improvement

-Wrap-up – quick review and optional homework or practice suggestions

Specific Skills

-Native-level pronunciation and intonation guidance

-Clear explanations for grammar and vocabulary

-IB-level academic English support (essays, presentations, reading comprehension)

-Patience and adaptability for beginners to advanced learners

Who the Lessons Are For
My lessons are ideal for:

-Students preparing for IB, high school, or university in English

-Adults wanting to improve conversational or business English

-Non-native speakers looking to sound more natural in speaking

-Anyone who wants a relaxed, encouraging environment to learn
