I am pleased to recommend Preethi Thomas as an excellent Chemistry teacher. I have known Preethi for several years through our academic and professional circles, and during this time I’ve seen her consistently demonstrate both strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching.
One experience that stands out is when I saw her help a student who was struggling with chemical thermodynamics. Within just a few sessions, Preethi broke the topic down into small, manageable steps and used real-life examples to reinforce understanding. The student not only improved academically but also gained confidence in the subject—something that speaks volumes about her skill and dedication as an educator.

I know Preethi from 2014 when she started the teaching initiative (Ek Pehal) to support underprivileged kids. I joined her and team to support by teaching different subjects, managing classes/ courses and providing study materials to kids.

Preethi gets involved with the student on individual level, understand the individual needs and requirement of the students. She then tweaks her style to suit what will help the student. She is extremely serious with studies and student. She not only cares for the teaching but understanding what the student is going through (mentally emotionally). This ensures the overall growth.

We have made the courses together to cater to the kids who were lacking some basics understanding. The course was tuned where we would work on strengthening the basics along with moving ahead. This included additional material which included animations, scientific videos, demonstration. I also created an experimental optics kit for students to understand optics in fun way (included regular optical components to make fun experiments teaching physics).

I would highly recommend Preethi over others for the following reasons:
1. She puts the interest and learning of the student at highest priority and changes her teaching style accordingly.
2. She has extensive experience in teaching students from different classes (secondary to high school to university).
3. Her comprehensive educational background. (Masters+Phd+Postdoc) in chemistry in combination with teaching experience makes her highly qualified over others.

Preethi Thomas has years of experience in teaching Science to middle school students, and Chemistry and Biology to high school pupils. She has a passion for learning by understanding concepts and encourages among her students an interest in the subject by doing the same. I have oberserved her imparting knowledge and imbibing a love for the subject into the pupils for years. She adapts her teaching style to suit the needs of her students.
