Over Lapo
️ Please note: As an international student, I don't speak Dutch. The lessons and explanations will be entirely in English (and Italian, of course!).
About me
Hi! I’m Lapo, a native Italian currently living in the Netherlands for my Erasmus exchange.
Languages have always been my passion. I graduated from a Linguistic High School in Italy, which gave me a very solid foundation in language structure, grammar, and communication. Besides my native Italian, I speak fluent English and Spanish.
Because I have spent years studying multiple foreign languages myself, I know exactly what it takes to learn effectively. I understand the common struggles, the mental blocks, and the hesitation students face when trying to speak a new language, and I know how to overcome them.
As a tutor, I am patient, encouraging, and very approachable. I want you to feel completely comfortable making mistakes, because that is exactly how we learn! I am really looking forward to sharing my beautiful language and culture with you, helping you gain confidence step by step.

Who are these lessons for?
My lessons are open to everyone: university students, expats, and adults of all ages. Whether you are a complete beginner starting from scratch, an intermediate learner wanting to polish your grammar, or someone who just wants to practice conversation before a holiday in Italy, I will adapt to your needs!
Teaching Method & Approach
Learning a new language should be fun, not stressful! I strongly believe in a communicative and practical approach. Instead of just memorizing endless and boring grammar rules, we will focus on how Italians actually speak in daily life. I tailor every lesson to your personal goals, pace, and interests (such as food, travel, culture, or music).
What does a typical lesson look like?
• Warm-up: A casual chat to get comfortable (trying to use Italian as much as possible, adjusted to your level).
• The Core: Focusing on a specific topic, grammar rule, or vocabulary set we decided to work on.
• Interactive Practice: Doing practical exercises based on real-life situations, reading short articles, analyzing everyday dialogues, or listening to Italian media.
• Feedback & Wrap-up: Reviewing what we learned and setting small, fun goals for the next session.
I am very flexible: we can focus entirely on conversation, strictly on grammar, or a mix of both. I offer online sessions, but if you are in Nijmegen we can also meet in a café or at the library.
Ci vediamo presto! (See you soon!)
