Instituto Cervantes focuses on the so-called "communicative approach". In all, the belief is that the teacher has to adapt to student's needs and work on his motivation. What does our student expect? What techniques suit him better for learning? How can we make him feel self-sufficient in the use of language?
Back in Spain I gave french private lessons to school children as I am bilingual. Basically as a support class to strengthen school classes. At the moment I am taking a DELE course in Instituto Cervantes (Utrecht) to study in depth about the new language teaching trends. I have a degree in Law and Political Science studies.
My work experience is more related to tourism so far. I think tourism and languages meet in culture, which is the domain i personally enjoy more. Language is not only about words connecting: it's about opening new connections in oneself but also about understanding the thinking and behaving in a certain society. This is helpful either for those interested in general culture as well as for those who want to invest on bussiness in any spanish speaking country.
I am spanish, raised in France and I lived in a few countries already. I made Political Sciences studies and have a Law Degree.
The field of interest mentionned above might come from the many trekking-related voyages I've been lucky to make: Ruwenzori, Ladakh, Mustang.... and our beloved Pyrenees among other places!
