Over Alice
I am originally from Italy and I always had an interest in the English language: growing up with MTV and a passion for music and movies, I always looked to follow these programs in their original language, something that was quite hard to achieve in my highly Italian surroundings. This burning passion funnily started from the Simpsons and drove me to study foreign languages in High School. After three years, I moved to the US for four years where I graduated from college and where I encountered Linguistics. I moved to Amsterdam to follow a BA academic path, and I graduated in 2019.
Along with art and photography, languages have always been a great source of inspiration for me. Being able to expand one's horizons by learning new languages is what has formed into the person I am today: someone who has an open-minded, curious, and challenge-driven outlook on life.

In my teaching experience, I have worked with both children and adults who needed help in reaching a higher proficiency with both conversation and grammar-focused classes.
After knowing your needs and expectations, I like to start things off with "unconventional" approaches to learning a language: listening to music, watching movies and reading are some of the amazing things that we will talk about in our class! Proficiency in a language means being able to form and deliver your opinions on any matter, and with my classes, I will provide you with the confidence to do just that.
I have plenty of knowledge about language and its scientific aspects thanks to my degree in Linguistics and TEFL certification, making me a highly skilled English teacher. As a plus, I have lived for four years in America, which greatly helped me with sounding like a native speaker. I am now based in an English-speaking city, which allows me to keep practicing and bettering my own knowledge.
My lessons are 1 hour long, and I am happy to work together with you in designing a class that satisfies all of your needs and interests (i:e. focus on achieving a native-like pronunciation). No matter your age or level, I will help you in bettering your English skills!
