Hello there!
My name is Froukje. I grew up in the Netherlands to Dutch parents and Dutch was always one of my better subjects at school. I have experience with tutoring as it is something I've done since high school.
The past few years, I've lived in 2 other countries than the Netherlands: the UK and Sweden. There I became fluent in English and right now I'm still learning Swedish. In short, I know what it's like to learn a language!
At school I always disliked English classes. I was never good at it and found it super boring - until I had a reason to learn it and became better. I learnt that learning goes much easier when you turn it into something fun, because there are challenging times when it comes to learning how to express yourself and understanding what people are saying in a new language.
Speaking with a native has been very beneficial to my learning process and I hope I can be that person to you.
Furthermore, I am aware that every person is different and needs different things. I am always open for feedback and will adjust the classes to your needs. I won't judge and strive for creating a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

Some practicalities:
- During our first class, we will discuss your goals and we will plan how to get you there in the most fun way. I will assess what level you're at and help you overcome your challenges.
- We'll do everything at your pace and shall adjust the classes to your time schedule and preferences: maybe you prefer multiple short sessions per week or maybe one longer class instead. Otherwise, just assume that 1 lesson will take 60 minutes.
- Classes will be held online.
