Over Yoran
I'm Yoran, a native Dutch speaker and Preply Super Tutor with 500+ lessons taught and a 4.9 star rating, plus additional private students I teach independently. Teaching Dutch to expats and internationals is what I do full time, and I built my own course materials so students learn Dutch that's actually spoken here, not stiff textbook Dutch.
I'm patient and structured, but lessons stay relaxed and never aimless, adjusting to how you learn best. Every lesson builds on the last and comes with homework to keep your progress moving.

Hey there! I'm Yoran, I teach conversational Dutch and help with A2 inburgering exam prep to expats and internationals!
Lessons are structured around your level and goals, whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for the inburgering exam, or already speak some Dutch and want to build confidence and fluency. Each lesson builds on the last, so you see measurable progress.
I created my own teaching materials that focus on real, everyday Dutch instead of the outdated textbook Dutch. I speak ABN (standard Dutch) and have structured lessons covering all the important everyday topics. Every lesson comes with homework, so the progress continues between sessions.
Formats:
- 25-min lessons (focused practice, great for busy schedules)
- 50-min lessons (full sessions with conversation, grammar, and real progress)
- Duo lessons available if you want to learn with a partner or friend
