Over Marc
I’m currently 20. Recently moved to China for university (Business Administration Bachelor program in English) and to study Mandarin. Was also accepted to Erasmus University of Rotterdam. Currently possess a multilingual IB diploma - English and Russian, both at higher level.
I believe that my language learning experience gives me an upper hand in understanding how it should be taught effectively.

Best approach always depends on the level and the person I’m teaching. At the beginning stages it’s important to study and memorize words and grammar structures, but at a certain point natural speaking practice is really the most effective way in my view.
I think both of these should be entertaining and creative to retain attention. Great examples are games, visual representations of words and concepts, “describe the picture” activities, etc.
Surely also depends on the age.
