Over Robert
Hi, I’m currently studying Psychology at the University of Amsterdam. Alongside my studies, I’ve developed a strong interest in language, communication, and how people express themselves in different contexts.
I speak English at a C2 level (IELTS Academic 8.5), Russian at a C1 level, and Armenian as my native language. Having learned and used multiple languages myself, I understand what it feels like to move from thinking in one language to expressing yourself naturally in another.
While I don’t come from a formal teaching background, I have experience helping others improve their English in a clear and practical way. I focus on communication, clarity, and building confidence, rather than overcomplicating the learning process.
I am reliable, patient, and attentive to individual needs, and I always try to create a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable speaking and making mistakes.

My lessons are focused on helping you become more comfortable, fluent, and confident in English, especially when speaking. I adapt each lesson to the student rather than following a fixed textbook structure, so we always work on what you actually need.
A typical lesson usually starts with a short conversation to get you speaking naturally. From there, I pick up on patterns in your language, like grammar mistakes, vocabulary gaps, or moments where you hesitate. We then work on these points through guided speaking, small exercises, and real-life examples. The goal is always to make English feel more natural and less forced.
I focus mainly on speaking fluency, vocabulary expansion, and clear expression of ideas. If needed, I also help with writing and structuring thoughts more clearly, especially for academic contexts or exams.
I can also help students prepare for IELTS, focusing on improving confidence, coherence, and clarity across all parts of the exam.
These lessons are best suited for students with a basic to advanced level of English who want to improve fluency, accuracy, and confidence in real communication. This includes learners preparing for IELTS, students using English in academic settings, or anyone who wants to speak more naturally in everyday situations.
