Over Gijs
As a Dutch teacher, I try to not spend too much time on all the rules and exceptions intrinsic to Dutch, but I thrive to give you a feel for the language and make you think and understand like a native. In my lessons, I don't just explain how things are in Dutch, but I give you the 'why'-aspect as well. The hardest thing about learning a language is utilizing it, and I'll give you all the right tools to do exactly that.

Hi! I'm Gijs, born and raised in Amsterdam. After having multiple language courses in school and realizing their learning method didn't work, I try to give lessons in a way that you'll not only remember the thing you're being tought, but also actively have fun practicing with it. I have taken many language courses throughout my life and learned which methods wor, and which don't. To me, learning Dutch is not memorizing: it's feeling, and that's what I will try and give you.
