Over Brooklyn
I am a Dutch American woman who grew up in the US (on the east coast) and has been living in the Netherlands for the last five years.
I am very friendly, kind, and have been told I have a very gentle, reassuring teaching style that makes all my students feel seen and safe.
Languages, teaching, and having fun are my passions and I hope to share them with you! Let's plan to grab a coffee or have some tea - virtually or in person - and talk about how we can step your English up to the next level.

I prefer immersive teaching, so we will focus on only communicating in English.
Engaging material is my bread and butter, so expect to learn concepts through games, songs, and, of course, a few more traditional methods i.e. worksheets, regular repetition, etc..
I have given language lessons to beginner, intermediate, and advanced English speakers to students from five years old to mature adults.
No matter your background, I know how to cater material to your needs and goals.
Generally I find lessons are best between half an hour and a full hour, but I am happy to find a duration that works for you.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions! I also speak Dutch so if you don't feel comfortable yet writing in English, reach out in whatever language feels comfortable.
