Hello, my name is Alice. I am a CELTA qualified and experienced ESL teacher, with many years work experience teaching adults from different cultural and religious backgrounds.
My background is in Psychology, I have a Masters degree in Cross-cultural Psychology, which has equipped me with both the awareness and sensitivity to different backgrounds.
I thoroughly enjoy enjoy helping my students learn English and gain confidence in speaking.

I enjoy teaching English as a second language to adults, in a fun, interactive, professional yet relaxed manner.
My lessons are normally divided between working from a book ( such as New English file) and therefore working on vocabulary building and grammar development and conversation skills ( which I do at the beginning of a class without the use of a book).
My background in Cross - cultural Psychology makes me aware and sensitive to cultural differences when working with students from around the world.
I am CELTA qualified , and obtained this certificate in 2005 in London, where I taught for many years, to adults from different cultural and religious backgrounds.
My lessons are therefore intended for adults who wish to learn English. The lessons usually last between an hour to hour and a half per student per week.
