Over Marilena

Hi there! My name is Marilena. I am originally from Greece, and I am currently studying Fashion Design at WdKA. Apart from my passion for visual arts, I have a deep love for languages and literature. I enjoy teaching because I love helping people see the beauty in languages. I believe that students thrive through a creative approach, as I find that it builds genuine interest and excitement.

When studying with me, you can expect a high level of organization and preparation. In our first lesson, I will get to know you a little better in order to understand your needs and adjust the curriculum appropriately.

Please note that I welcome students of all levels for Greek lessons. However, I require an A2 level (or higher) certificate for English lessons, as those sessions will be conducted exclusively in English.

I also want to note that I do not speak Dutch; however, because I live in the Netherlands full-time, the website has mistakenly flagged my profile as Dutch.

Over deze les

As an art student, I find it especially important to make my lessons fun and creative so as to turn them into something the student will actually want to engage with. I approach languages through literature and adjust the difficulty according to the student's needs and capabilities, welcoming students of all ages.

I found her on the internet because of my interest in learning the greek language. I found that apps such as duolingo didn't really work for me so I wanted to try to learn from an actual person.
She has really been able to help me go from zero to pretty respectable level in the short time she's been teaching me.
She is kind and patient and her methods have made me fall in love with the language without it feeling like too much work.
I can safely recommend her for learners of any level, as her knowladge of the language runs deep.
Five Stars!!
