I am a software engineer with a strong background in mathematics and two years of tutoring experience. I enjoy helping learners of all ages build confidence and understanding in mathematics. My approach is patient, structured, and tailored to each learner’s needs, ensuring they grasp concepts clearly and feel supported throughout their learning journey. I strive to make lessons engaging, interactive, and practical, so learners not only solve problems but truly understand the underlying ideas.

My lessons are structured and focused on building a clear understanding of mathematical concepts. I usually begin by explaining the topic and working through a few examples on a whiteboard to demonstrate the problem-solving process. After that, the learner attempts similar problems independently while I provide guidance and support where needed.
If there is homework, exam preparation, or specific questions the learner would like to focus on, we can structure the lesson around those topics. For in-person lessons I use a whiteboard, and for online lessons I use Microsoft Teams together with Microsoft Whiteboard so we can work through problems interactively in real time. I also make use of visual software demonstrations where required.

Damian is highly mathematically inclined and analytical. He notices patterns and is a fantastic teacher, as he makes sure his students understand the reasoning behind questions, and helps them come to logical resolutions. I have been tutored by Damian before and would highly recommend him.
A great teacher who helped me through high school Science and Mathematics, as well as first- and second-year Engineering Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. He focuses strongly on real understanding and visualising the content, and always puts in extra time and effort to make sure I fully understand the work.
