Over Elizabeth
Hi! I’m an Australian professional trumpet player and teacher currently studying my Master of Music at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. I graduated with First Class Honours from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and have over 5 years of teaching experience in Australia.
As a professional musician, I have performed with Australian orchestras and have experience teaching and performing across a range of musical settings. Alongside trumpet, I also enjoy teaching piano and developing students’ broader musicianship, including music reading, theory, technique and musical expression.
I’m passionate about creating a friendly, supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable learning, asking questions and developing at their own pace. Whether you’re completely new to piano, returning to the instrument, or looking to build your skills, I’ll tailor lessons to your goals and interests while helping you become a confident and independent musician.

My approach to piano teaching
For me, piano lessons are about more than simply learning the notes. I want students to feel comfortable at the piano, understand the music they are playing, and develop the confidence to express themselves.
I adapt lessons to suit each student, combining technical exercises with pieces they enjoy and find inspiring. Depending on their interests, we can work on reading music, technique, rhythm, theory, interpretation, repertoire and performance skills, while gradually building independence and good playing habits.
I have over 5 years of teaching experience and enjoy working with students of different ages and abilities. Whether you're learning for fun, preparing for an exam or audition, or simply wanting to become a better pianist, lessons will be shaped around your individual goals.
