Hi! My name is Lotte, I am a native Dutch speaker and a university student with a strong interest in language, writing and communication.
During my studies, I regularly write academic papers and work extensively with written language. This has made me very comfortable with explaining grammar, improving texts and helping others express themselves more clearly. I am also fluent in English, which makes it easier for me to support international students and explain difficult Dutch concepts in a clear and understandable way.
I am patient, approachable and flexible and I want my lessons to feel relaxed and encouraging. You do not have to be afraid of making mistakes, they are an important part of learning a language.
Every student has different goals, so I adapt my lessons to your level, interests and learning style. Whether you are a complete beginner, already speak some Dutch or simply want to become more confident in conversation or writing, we can create a lesson structure that works for you.
You can also start with a free 30-minute introductory session, so we can get to know each other, discuss your goals and see whether my way of teaching is a good fit for you.

My lessons are personal, practical and adapted to your individual goals and level. I believe the best way to learn a language is by actively using it, so I like to combine conversation with clear explanations of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and writing.
A typical 60-minute lesson can start with a short conversation in Dutch, followed by a topic that we focus on together. We then practise through conversation, exercises, reading or writing, depending on what you want to improve. At the end of the lesson, we can go over important mistakes, new vocabulary and anything you would like to practise further.
As a native Dutch speaker and university student, I have a lot of experience with writing and working with language. I also speak fluent English, which means I can explain Dutch grammar, vocabulary or expressions in English when something is difficult to understand.
My lessons are suitable for beginners as well as more advanced learners. Whether you want to learn Dutch from scratch, become more confident in conversations, improve your grammar and pronunciation, work on your writing, or simply practise Dutch regularly, I am happy to adapt the lessons to you.
I offer 60-minute lessons as standard, but longer sessions are also possible. Before starting, I also offer a free 30-minute introductory session so we can get to know each other, discuss your level and goals, and decide what kind of lessons would work best for you.
