Over Chris
I am a British-born Degree and Masters's educated professional that moved to Holland in 2005 for love. I have been soaking up the Dutch culture and language ever since.
My strength in teaching English will be to offer comprehensive support with pronunciation, pragmatics, vocabulary, grammar, vernacular, and semantics from a native's perspective.
I have two sons aged 9 and 7, and one daughter aged 2 with my Dutch partner. The kids attend a Dutch school and are being brought up in an English - Dutch environment as dual-nationality citizens. I supplement their English learning as English lesson at school are aimed at a lower standard compare to Dutch lessons. I therefore have a number of fun resources to share with new students.
I use Dutch to a professional level, while keeping up to date with British national and international current affairs. I have work and life experience across agriculture, sales, tender management, healthcare, recruitment, and IT services.

I mix a Communicative Approach, Task-Based Language Teaching with The Direct Method. supported by a Grammar-Translation and Audio-lingual support.
Every student is different and learns in a different way. It helps if you know your style, but we can find a path that suits.
