I am currently a Master's student in Astronomy and Astrophysics at KU Leuven. Before coming to Belgium, I worked as a mathematics teacher at a high school in Indonesia, where I taught algebra and pre-calculus and also helped students prepare for the ACT.
I studied Physics for my bachelor's degree and have been teaching mathematics and physics privately since my university years. Most of my experience is with secondary and high school students.
I enjoy mathematics and physics, but I also know that not every student finds them easy. When I teach, I try to explain things in a simple way and take the time to find out which part is causing the difficulty.

I have taught mathematics at high school level and have also worked as a private tutor for several years. I can help with topics such as algebra, functions, trigonometry, calculus, and general exam preparation.
In a lesson, I usually first check what the student already understands and where the difficulty starts. I then explain the idea and work through a few examples together. After that, I let the student solve problems independently and we discuss the mistakes if there are any.
I prefer understanding the reasoning behind a method rather than simply memorizing formulas. The lesson can also be adjusted depending on what the student needs, for example reviewing school material, preparing for an exam, or working on a particular topic.
The lessons are mainly for secondary/high school students and are given in English.
