Hi! My name is Yajie, and I’m a certified Mandarin teacher from China with a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Master’s degree in the Netherlands. I also hold a Mandarin Proficiency Certificate and a Chinese teaching license, and I have experience teaching in both high schools and language institutes.
I truly enjoy teaching, because for me it is not just about transferring knowledge—it is about creating meaningful connections between people. In every lesson, knowledge, energy, support, and care flow both ways. Teaching can be demanding, but I always leave the classroom feeling recharged and inspired.
For me, teaching is a source of happiness. It allows me to share what I know, while also learning from my students and growing together with them.

My teaching style is interactive, flexible, and student-centered. I believe learning Mandarin should be practical and enjoyable, so I adapt my lessons to your goals—whether that’s daily conversation, pronunciation practice, exam preparation, or exploring Chinese culture.
A typical lesson includes a quick review, new vocabulary and grammar in context, and lots of speaking practice. I love using real-life examples, cultural stories, and simple explanations to make the language easy to understand and fun to learn.
My lessons are open to beginners, intermediate learners, students preparing for HSK, professionals, and anyone curious about Chinese language and culture. Communication is my strength, and I’m always open to exploring new ways to make learning effective and enjoyable.
