Over Donia
Hii, I’m Dee, a native Arabic speaker from Egypt now living in Rotterdam. I’m currently pursuing my MSc in Urban Management and Development, building on a background in urban design and community-focused projects. I’ve always been passionate about how people connect to places and to each other — and language is a beautiful part of that.
Outside of work and study, you’ll often find me painting, exploring Rotterdam’s art scene, or sharing Egyptian music and movies with friends. Teaching Arabic is a joyful way for me to stay close to the culture I grew up with, and to help others experience its richness too.
I aim to create lessons that are welcoming, engaging, and tailored to you — so you not only learn the language, but also get to explore the colorful world of Egyptian culture. Whether you want to speak fluently, understand your favorite songs, or just pick up some everyday phrases, I’m here to support you on that journey.

How do i go about the lessons:
My lessons are interactive, flexible, and fully tailored to you. I focus on real communication from day one, using plenty of speaking and listening so you feel confident using Arabic in everyday life.
As an Egyptian, I love bringing the language alive through Egyptian culture — from pop songs and classic movies to comedy shows and local expressions. This not only makes learning more fun, but also gives you a window into the heart of Arabic in the Middle East.
We might role-play everyday situations, break down song lyrics, or watch clips from Egyptian TV to practice new vocabulary. I also use games, conversation prompts, and practical examples that connect to your interests.
How long is a lesson:
Lessons are usually 60 minutes, but we can go for 90-minute sessions. Frequency is totally up to you — we’ll find a rhythm that suits your goals and schedule.
Why i can teach u:
I’m a native Arabic speaker from Egypt, now based in Rotterdam, with a background in community design and event work that always revolves around connecting people. I’ve had experiance teaching arabic to kids and adults, and I’ve helped many friends and colleagues learn Arabic informally, and bring a lot of patience, humor, and creativity to my teaching.
As someone deeply engaged in both Middle Eastern and queer communities, I make sure our lessons are a safe, welcoming space for everyone.

My lessons are for all levels and all ages — whether you’re just starting out, brushing up on conversational skills, or diving deeper into grammar and cultural nuances.
Maybe you’re studying for travel, work, personal enrichment, or just because you love the sound of Egyptian Arabic. Whatever your reason, I’ll adapt to your pace and learning style.
